At LFT, the Build protocol is the core of what we do. It is built upon the idea of functionality and strength. We focus on movement progression, power and muscular endurance. These hour-long workouts are a progression of our 4 main movements: the squat, press, deadlift and complex Olympic lift (clean and snatch), as well as a short metabolic conditioning piece which will bring together the skills you have been working on and are individualized for each athlete.
To get strong, our muscular system needs to be activated so It can improve and get stronger! We couple our Build classes with our Burn protocol. These hour-long workouts utilize interval training and our cardiovascular system, incorporating plyometrics, body weight movements, and the Ergs and Echo bikes. We use accessory movements to enhance our fitness, creating a well balanced split of our fitness.
Our Saturday session is built around HARD WORK. It is Build and It is Burn. In pairs or teams, it allows our members to gain resilience and at the same time a community. Our goal is to achieve the best threshold training session that will allow our members to improve their endurance. At times this type of training can be mentally challenging, so allowing the members to motivate and push each other in a team environment gets the most out of the client and our training program.
We wholeheartedly believe that to achieve our health goals and love a happy, long life, we must build strength. Barbell and resistance training is by far the most important component because it builds muscle and reduces the loss of muscle mass. During our barbell classes you will push, pull, squat, press, lift and get strong!
